Smoothie King Shift Team Member (Opening & Closing Roles)

Job Description

Are you looking for a high-energy, health-focused workplace? We are hiring Shift Team Members to manage our crucial opening and closing operations at our Burnsville location! As a key part of our crew, you will help guests live a healthy and active lifestyle by blending perfect smoothies, maintaining an immaculate environment, and delivering unparalleled guest service.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to cover two distinct scheduling blocks:

• Opening Shifts: Typically starting at 6:30 AM Monday through Friday (8:00 AM on Saturdays) to prep the store and service early commuters.
• Closing Shifts: Prepping and managing the storefront through to close at 9:00 PM , ensuring complete store breakdown, inventory counts, and clean-up assignments.

Key Responsibilities

For All Team Members

• Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, and accurately take orders.
• Blending Excellence: Prepare high-quality smoothies following strict recipes and measurement guidelines.
• Point of Sale: Handle cash and digital transactions accurately while maintaining a secure register drawer.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless workspace by constantly washing blenders, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients safely.

Opening Responsibilities (6:30 AM Start)

• Unlock the facility and execute the morning opening checklist.
• Calibrate equipment and ensure all blenders are operational.
• Prep fresh fruit, ice, powders, and alternate dairy bases for the day's operations.
• Verify initial register drawers and print starting shift paperwork.

Closing Responsibilities (Ending past 9:00 PM)

• Perform comprehensive store wrap-up, breakdown, and deep cleaning checklists.
• Wash, sanitize, and air-dry all equipment, blender jars, and utensils used throughout the day.
• Restock ingredients, rotate stock using FIFO methods, and record closing inventory.
• Reconcile the daily cash drawers and securely close out the POS system.
• Lock all doors and ensure the security system is fully armed upon departure.

Qualifications & Expectations

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old to comply with operational guidelines and shift scheduling.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and show up ready to work your designated shift.
• Ability to communicate clearly and connect with guests in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
• Prior food handling, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required—we will train you!
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
