Job Description: MRI Technologist (13-week contract)

Location: New Hyde Park, NY

Position Type: Full-Time, 13 week contract

Shift: Days | 4x10's (9 AM - 7 PM) - Mondays & Fridays Required

Pay Rates:

\n

\n
• Travel Weekly Package: $3075 - $3436 gross/week (includes $2275 non-taxed weekly stipend)
\n
• Local Hourly Rate: $60-$69/hr

Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join its clinical team. Operating in a collaborative, non-solo scanning environment (staffed with 2 technologists per magnet), you will perform advanced diagnostic MRI examinations utilizing cutting-edge GE equipment and academic-level scanning protocols. This position offers a team-centric atmosphere handling an active outpatient volume (~50 examinations per day across multiple scanners).

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations in a high-volume outpatient setting (approx. 50 exams/day across multiple scanners).
\n
• Follow academic and specialized MRI scanning protocols, maintaining exceptionally high image quality and patient safety standards.
\n
• Conduct patient screening, intake, and preparation prior to procedures.
\n
• Administer IV contrast injections as required by protocol.
\n
• Manage workflow using Infinite RIS/PACS systems.
\n
• Maintain clear communication and collaboration within a multi-technologist team.
\n

\n

Required Skills

\n

\n
• ARRT (MR) registration or ARRT (R) with dedicated MRI expertise.
\n
• State Radiologic Technologist license (NYS).
\n
• Proficiency operating GE MRI scanners (state-of-the-art equipment).
\n
• Strong clinical grounding in advanced/academic scanning protocols.
\n
• IV placement/injection skills (highly preferred for higher base compensation).
\n

Preferred Skills

\n
• Dual or multi-modality certifications/experience (CT and/or Mammography).
\n
• Flexibility or willingness to float across local facilities or cross-cover modalities if needed.
\n
