Role Description The Certified Personal Trainer is a part-time, on-site role based in Lawrence, PA. In this position, the trainer designs and delivers individualized training programs, conducts fitness assessments, and leads one-on-one and small group sessions.

Day-to-day tasks include coaching proper exercise technique, monitoring progress, adjusting programs based on client needs, and maintaining a safe, clean training environment. The trainer communicates regularly with clients about goals, scheduling, and progress, and documents sessions and outcomes in accordance with company standards.

The role also involves collaborating with team members on client programs and participating in occasional workshops or events that support client education and engagement.

Qualifications

• Recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) and current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong knowledge of exercise science, strength training, functional movement, and basic nutrition principles.
• Ability to design safe, effective, and individualized training programs for diverse fitness levels and goals.
• Clear, encouraging communication skills and the ability to build professional, respectful relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to observe and correct exercise technique, with a focus on injury prevention and client safety.
• High level of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in an on-site studio environment.
• Comfort working with scheduling tools, client tracking systems, and basic digital communication platforms.
• Prior experience in a personal training, coaching, or fitness instruction role; experience in a studio or small-gym setting is a plus.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, and some weekends based on client demand.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
